Firewall

Width: 448    Height: 336    Type: image/jpeg    Updated: 12/10/2014 10:49

Short: Firewall
Extended:

First step: replace the firewall. It had rotted away and broken, to the point where it was no longer supporting the steering column or very much else. A sheet of red oak plywood, a few holes drilled using the original as a template, and voila:

We also got the steering column straightened out. You can see it there on the right. It had been badly twisted - the two narrow rods were wrapped around the central shaft. That might account for some of the damage to the firewall.
