Leg Belt

Width: 448    Height: 336    Type: image/jpeg    Updated: 07/20/2011 05:02

Short: Leg Belt

July 19, 2011

This is a piece of the belt from the leg of the Wynndel elevator.  The buckets that carry the grain from the boot, at the bottom of the elevator, to the headworks at the top, are attached to this. There are a number of spare bins for the leg stacked near this peice of belt.

The curved object you can see in the background of this photo is a huge molasses drum, installed on the second floor of the elevator at a time when it was being privately rented and used to custom-mix feed for a pig farm.
